To Our Valued Customers,
Recent tariffs have presented significant challenges across the industry. At EMAC Inc., we recognize the potential impact these changes may have, and we want to assure you that our team is committed to providing you with the highest level of support as we navigate this evolving situation.
At EMAC Inc., we are actively employing all available strategies to minimize the impact of these tariffs on our customers. This includes:
Absorbing Tariff Costs: Where feasible, EMAC Inc. will absorb a portion of the tariff costs to help mitigate their direct impact on your business.
Strategic Sourcing: We are actively working to diversify our supply chain and explore component procurement options outside of China whenever possible.
Responsible Pricing: Please be assured that EMAC Inc. will not use tariffs as an unwarranted justification for raising prices. Our commitment is to fair and transparent pricing.
The primary impact on our operations concerns products sourced from China. The combination of the 25% Section 301 tariffs, the 20% IEEPA fentanyl tariffs, and the 125% reciprocal tariffs creates a substantial financial burden. While the exclusions announced on April 11th offer some hope, their effect on the majority of imported products from China is anticipated to be limited at this time.
Regarding products from other countries, a baseline tariff of 10% was announced on April 5th, followed by country-specific reciprocal tariffs for 83 nations on April 9th. We note that these country-specific tariffs were subsequently suspended on April 10th.
Please understand that trade policies remain fluid, and EMAC Inc. reserves the right to pass through tariff charges as we incur them. While we make every effort to communicate changes, circumstances may evolve quickly. Also be aware that at times EMAC gets billed for Tariffs after the receipt of components. This may necessitate that EMAC may send invoices to our customers for Tariffs after the receipt of purchased product. Again, we are sorry of any inconvenience this may cause.
Our current understanding is as follows:
Details subject to change
Currently, EMAC Inc. is only passing along the specific tariff amounts that are directly levied upon us by our supplier partners. Decisions regarding any other tariffs, including their potential implementation, will be communicated transparently as the situation develops and we become aware of the details.
Thank you for your understanding and continued business.
