The SIB-A5D35 Low-Power ARM Embedded Server-In-a-Box (SIB), is a low cost, small footprint, yet powerful Server. The Low-Power ARM Embedded Server SIB-A5D35 utilizes the Atmel ARM Cortex A5 ATSAMA5D35 536Mhz fanless processor allowing it to run Linux and WinCE Operating Systems. Like all SIBs, the Low-Power ARM Embedded Server SIB has no moving parts and features a rugged enclosure design making it an ideal choice for most industrial applications. While also offering APM sleep mode, which allows for low power consumption, while still supporting real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as Xenomai. The Low-Power SIB is just as comfortable in a basement wiring closet as it is on a desktop.
The Low-Power ARM Embedded Server requires less power than most servers allowing the LP-SIB to have low heat generation and lends itself ideal for battery operated or backed-up systems. Right out of the box, the LP-SIB is configured for Ethernet, serial IP, serial terminal, and raw serial connections. Other devices, including PPP modem links, may be added and configured by the user.
