Preliminary – The iPac-35D1 is a high-end Edge IIoT Gateway ARM64 SBC “Single Board Computer”, Industrial temperature operation web-enabled SBC based on the NuvoTon NuMicro® MA35D1 with dual 64-bit Arm® Cortex®-A35 cores and one 180 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M4 core. Designed and manufactured in the USA by EMAC, Inc; this Microcontroller replacement SBC is an ideal IIoT Edge Gateway system. The iPAC-35D1 IIoT Gateway ARM64 SBC can run an embedded web server or MQTT and to send out the current monitored or logged data to the end-user monitor or cloud service. The iPAC-35D1 IIoT Gateway ARM64 SBC’s web connection is available via network connections, a 1000 BaseT Gigabit Ethernet and a 10/100 BaseT Ethernet ports are included or connecting an optional 802.11 wireless WiFi networking module. This NuvoTon NuMicro® MA35D1 System On Chip processor powered SBC has all I/O connections brought out to header connectors on the board while maintaining the footprint of a standard PC/104 module at 3.77″ x 3.54″. The iPAC-35D1 is perfectly suited for IIoT Edge Gateway or Embedded Data Acquisition and Control applications where an Industrial Temperature operating range system is needed. Designed for high-end edge IIoT gateway systems, the IPAC-35D1 SBC provides multiple advanced and high-speed connection interfaces, such as Gigabit Ethernet, SDIO, USB 2.0, and CAN-FD, for edge gateway, HMI and new energy applications.

Designed and Made in the USA this ARM64 industrial embedded single-board computer is ready for your embedded applications. It has an industrial temperature range of -40C to 85C and utilizes up to 64 GB of eMMC Flash, 16MB of Serial Data Flash (for boot), and up to 512 MB of DDR3 RAM(in CPU).
The iPAC-35D1 has one (1) RS232 serial port with handshake (RTS/CTS), two (2) RS232 serial ports (TX and RX only), one (1) RS232/422/485 serial port with RTS/CTS handshake, two Ethernet ports(1x 1000 Base-T and 1x 10/100 Base-T), 1x USB 2.0 Host port Type-A, and 1x USB 2.0 OTG port Type-C. The board has 8 channels of 12-bit A/D (0 to 2.5 volt) and an internal real-time clock/calendar with battery backup. It also includes 20 GPIO (3.3 V) lines on header, 8 high drive open collector dedicated digital output lines with configurable voltage tolerance, 16 GPIO IO Lines on the header connector, 2 PWM I/O lines, 2 or more counters, 2 or more programmable clock outputs. The iPAC-35D1 has a Synchronous Serial I/O line (I2S), 1 SPI line (4 SPI CS), I2C PORT, CAN-FD port, a micro SD socket, an external Reset Button provisions and red Power and Green status LEDs.

The NuvoTon NuMicro® MA35D1 series processor is a trusted system for IoT products’ security requirements. It includes several advanced security mechanisms such as Nuvoton Trusted Secure Island (TSI) an isolated secure hardware unit, TrustZone, secure boot, tamper-detection, built-in cryptographic accelerators, and a TRNG, as well as Key Store and OTP memory. All the security operations are performed in the TSI to protect sensitive and high-value data. The features also satisfy customers in IEC 62443 certification requirements.
For HMI applications, the NuvoTon NuMicro® MA35D1 series processor provides a LCD display controller with a resolution up to 1920×1080 at 60 FPS, a 2D graphic engine, a JPEG and a H.264 decoder integrated for better graphical HMI effects and video playback. When more versatile or semi-custom applications are needed, EMAC has the same small 200-pin SODIMM form factor Systme-on-Module “SoM” module. The SoM-35D1F is the ideal processor engine for your next design. All of the ARM processor core functionality is included on this tiny board including Flash, Memory, Serial Ports, Ethernet, I2S Audio, PWMs, Timer/Counters, A/D, digital I/O lines, Clock/Calendar, and more; on a small interchangeable module. Making a system by using a carrier board, base board, or breakout board, such as the SOM-255G2 or a custom-designed carrier board for each specific project application.
