The PCA-6106 6-Slot ISA Backplane is a 6-Slot PICMG 1.0 specification backplane and is designed to allow ISA SBC boards to connect to other ISA cards.
The PCA-6106 can be used in place of a standard motherboard, in a slot chassis, to repair older computers. Most commonly the PCA-6106 is used with a VDX-6324 or VDX-6524 half-ISA SBC to replace older 486 motherboards. as the Vortex86DX processor is a good replacement for most 486DX computer systems.
Also the PCA-6106 is used with a VSX-6124 or VSX-6121 half-ISA SBC to replace older 386 motherboards, due to the Vortex86SX processor being a good replacement for most 386 computer systems.
